Content Sherpa - Metrics

The Content Sherpa metrics are a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) designed to evaluate the effectiveness of content strategies and guide continuous improvement. These metrics provide insights into how well content engages audiences, meets objectives, and drives desired outcomes.


To view the Content Sherpa Metrics, follow the steps below.


  1. From the Hub Menu, click Content Sherpa. 
  2. The Metrics tab is displayed by default with Statistics, Engagement Lift, Visitor vs Conversations Trend, Trending Intent Topics, and Top Referenced Assets sections. By default, the Search filter displays metrics for the last 30 days.Note: The Metrics can be analyzed daily, weekly, or monthly using the Search filter.



Metrics - Statistics


The Statistics section provides a summary of key performance indicators related to visitor activity and engagement.

The Statistics section includes metrics such as Visitors, Returning Visitors, Conversions, and Leads.

  • Visitors - The total number of unique visitors that visited the Content Sherpa page.
  • Returning Visitors - The number of visitors who revisited the Content Sherpa page after their initial interaction.
  • Conversions - The number of visitors who engaged in a conversation with the Content Sherpa.
  • Leads - Visitors who submitted a form by saving the chat, with their information subsequently enriched.


Metrics - Engagement Lift


Engagement Lift in Content Sherpa measures the increase in user interaction and engagement with your content after implementing the Content Sherpa framework. It provides a comparative analysis of engagement levels before and after the framework’s integration, highlighting its impact on user behavior.


The Engagement Lift section includes metrics such as Impressions, Engagement, Engagement Rate, and Engagement Lift.


  • Impressions (Content Sherpa vs. Hub) – An impression is recorded when a visitor engages with the Content Sherpa for the first time, compared to an impression being recorded when a visitor interacts with the Hub.

  • Engagement (Content Sherpa vs. Hub) - For Content Sherpa,  an Engagement count is recorded when the visitor clicks on the Guiding Questions or enters a question manually to which AI would generate a response when compared to Hub where the visitor engages with content in the Hub.

  • Engagement Rate - The Engagement Rate indicates that every impression led to an engagement.

    The Engagement Rate can be calculated using the formula:


  • Engagement Lift - Engagement Lift measures the percentage increase in engagement between two scenarios, typically comparing the current scenario (e.g., Content Sherpa) to a baseline or alternative (e.g., Hub). It quantifies how much more effectively one method drives user interaction compared to another. 

Metrics - Visitor vs Conversations Trend


Visitor vs. Conversations Trend metrics compare the number of Visitors to the number of Conversations over time. It shows how many visitors interact with the Content Sherpa content and how many interactions lead to actual conversations, helping to understand engagement patterns.

Note: The Visitor vs. Conversations Trend can be analyzed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis using the Search filter.



Metrics - Trending Intent Topics


Trending Intent Topics refers to the analysis of the most frequently mentioned or discussed topics based on user intent over a specific period. These topics represent the key Conversations that are gaining attention from visitors, often tied to their goals, questions, or actions. 

 

Metrics - Trending Intent Topics


Top Referenced Assets refers to the most frequently accessed content, such as documents or videos, during visitor interactions. These assets are the ones users find most valuable or relevant, often referenced in conversations or engagements.


  • Recommended - The Recommended count is based on how many times the Content Sherpa recommended the asset each time a visitor asked a question.
  • Bookmarks - When a visitor clicks the Add to Library button on any asset displayed in the Related Resources, it is recorded as a Bookmark count.

  • Views - When a visitor clicks on an asset in the Related Resources to view it on the SNLP page, the action is recorded as a View count.
  • Engagements - When a visitor clicks on an asset in the Related Resources and scrolls through the content on the SNLP page, this interaction is recorded as an Engagement count.
