Google Analytics Integration: Information and Setup

Modified on Thu, 25 Jul at 4:57 AM

Integrating Google Analytics with your platform allows you to track and analyze user interactions and behavior on your website. This integration provides detailed insights into visitor demographics, traffic sources, user engagement, and conversion rates.

You must implement the Analytics Tag on your website in order to see the Events in Google Analytics.

Establish a connection between Hushly and Google Analytics

  1. From the Left Nav Menu, click Setup >> Integrations.
  2. On the Integrations page, click on +New Integration.
  3. From the Integrations pop-up window, select Google Analytics and click Activate.
  4. Google Analytics pop-up appears, displaying a list of Events that can be tracked with Toggle buttons.
    • Content View - When a user views the content across Hushly Modules (Hubs, ABM Pages, Experiences etc.,)
    • Content Interaction - When a user engages with a Content.
    • Invalid Form Submit - User submits a form with invalid data.
    • Form Submit - User submits a form with valid data.
    • Anonymous Download - User downloads the content anonymously without submitting the email.
    • Stream View - User views the Stream.
    • ABM CTA Click - User clicks on a CTA within the ABM Page.
    • Hub CTA Click - User clicks on a CTA within the Hub (Streams, SNLP, etc.)
    • Embed Stream Item Click - User clicks on a Stream Item CTA in an Embed Stream.
    • Web Experience Impression - Users that viewed the Personalized Web Page.
    • Conversion- Conversions record specific activities performed by web visitors. There are two types of Conversations:
      • Page Visit: A conversion is recorded when a visitor visits a page URL.
      • Event: A conversion is recorded when a user-specific action is tracked on a web page.

  5. Click Activate Google Analytics after you have toggled the Events to be tracked in Google Analytics.
  6. The Integration page shows Google Analytics status as enabled with a success message.
    • A Green indicator signifies that the Integration is fully operational.
    • A Yellow indicator suggests that the operational status is currently unknown

    • A Red indicator denotes a non-operational Integration, with the reason for failure accessible via a tooltip on the red indicator.

  7. When the user visits your website, the Hushly Events are then passed from your website to Google Analytics
