Sync, Pause and Activate RSS Feeds

You manually trigger the RSS Sync job for an RSS Feed by selecting the Sync option. In order for the hourly RSS Sync job not to pick the RSS Feed, you could Pause it. A Paused RSS Feed can be Activated for the hourly RSS Sync Job to pick the RSS Feed, you can follow the below steps to do so:


Sync RSS Feeds:

  1. From Left Nav Menu, click Assets.   
  2. On the Assets page, click RSS Feeds. 
  3. On the RSS Feeds page, click on the three-dot menu under the Action column for the RSS Feed and click Sync.   
  4. A message is displayed when the sync process is initiated. 
    Note:  The new Assets would get created when articles are added to the blog, and already synced assets will be updated when there are modifications made to an article automatically. Hushly provides an hourly Sync job that would pick all the Active RSS Feed and check the respective blog for updates.  


Pause RSS Feeds:

  1. From Left Nav Menu, click Assets.
       
  2. On the Assets page, click RSS Feeds.   
  3. On the RSS Feeds page, click on the three-dot menu under the Action column for the RSS Feed and click Pause.   
  4. A confirmation message is displayed before pausing the RSS Feed. Click OK to confirm.   
  5. A message is displayed after the confirmation and the RSS Feed status is changed to PauseNote:  Once an RSS Feed is marked as Paused it would not be picked up by the hourly RSS Sync job. Assets would not get created when articles are added to the blog, and existing assets will not be updated when there are modifications made to an article to the blog.    


Activate RSS Feeds:

  1. From Left Nav Menu, click Assets.
       
  2. On the Assets page, click RSS Feeds.   
  3. To Activate a Paused RSS Feed, click on the three-dot menu under the Action column for the RSS Feed and click Activate.   
  4. A confirmation message is displayed before activating the RSS Feed. Click OK to confirm. 
  5. A message is displayed after the confirmation and the RSS Feed status is changed to ActiveNote:  Once an RSS Feed is marked as Active it would be picked up by the hourly RSS Sync job in the next job run. Articles that got added to the blog since the last successful sync date would get created as Assets. Articles that have been modified in the blog since the last successful sync date, these existing Assets would get updated to reflect the latest content.
