To Create a Hub, you will need a Subdomain. To set up your sub-domain in Hushly go to Manage Domains and follow the instructions.
To create your Hub, follow the steps below:
- From the Left Nav Menu, click Hubs.
- On the Hubs page, click Create Hub.
- In the Create Hub pop-up window, enter the Hub’s Name and Description (used internally).
- Click the Select Domain drop-down list and choose the domain that will host the Hub.
Note: Once you associate a Hub with a domain it cannot be associated with another Hub. - Click Save.
- By default, the Hub Options page is displayed with the Hub name and description with the values you entered earlier. The Name and Description fields are editable, but the Domain field is not. We also see the version of the Hub displayed along with two other sections below, Settings and Branding. Note: Status displays the Hub's status (Draft/Active/Inactive).
- Clicking on Settings expands the Settings section. The section expands displaying various functionalities under Settings.
Functionality under Settings:- Hide from Search Engines: By default, the toggle button is set to "No", search engines can index the hub. Toggling to "Yes" will prevent search engines from indexing the hub (it is up to the search engines to honor this request).
- Auto Play Videos: By default the toggle button is set to "Yes". When the user clicks on a video content on the hubs page, the SNLP page opens with the video content playing as soon as the page loads. Toggling the option to "No", the video content will not play automatically, you need to click on the play button to play the video.
- Language: You can select a language from the drop-down options. Users come across many messages during the various stages of the opt-in process using the Hushly opt-in form. You can localize the Hushly messages in the following languages:
- Chinese Simplified
- Chinese Traditional
- Dutch
- English
- French
- German
- Japanese
- Portuguese
- Spanish
- Note: The Language option selected at the Streams level has more weight than at the Hub level
- Form: From the Form drop-down, you can select the form you wish to use. Forms can be created under Hushly left Navigation menu > Forms. If no form is selected the default Hushly form will be displayed in runtime.
Note: The selected Form will be shown to the Visitor for all the Assets in the Hub unless a preferred Form is set particularly for it at the Stream item level. - Enable RSS Feed: To read more about enabling RSS Feeds, click here.
- Email Template: You can attach a specific Email Template to the Hub. When users submit the opt-in form with a business email for the Asset they want to download, the email template configured here will be sent to the user.
Note: The Hub level email template has priority over the Asset level email template. If the email template is not configured at the Hub level, the next priority will be the Asset level template. If the email template is not configured at the Hub or Asset level, the Default template will be displayed to the end user.
