Here are some of the Frequently Asked Questions on SEO:

Q: What does SEO stand for?

A: SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization which helps to increase the quality and quantity of website visitors from search engines to a website or web page.

Q: What is No Robot Meta Tag in Hushly, Is it important?

A: Yes, the No Robot Meta Tag in Hushly is important as it prevents search engines from indexing the entire hub.

Q: What are SEO Capabilities?

A: Every Self Nurturing Landing Page has the following SEO attributes

  • SEO Title.
  • SEO Description.
  • Canonical URL.
  • Hreflang Meta Tag.
  • Google site-verification tag.
  • Sitemap XML.
  • Rel = no referral to links.
  • Minified Hushly Javascript.
  • Allow users to view the previous gate's content.
  • An HTML summary of the asset (support for H1 and other headers).
  • Option to be indexable.
  • OG Tag.

Q: Does anything specific need to be done to ensure we get SEO credit for all these documents?

A: No. You'll get credit for every document you upload (unless you hide that asset).  The best practice would be to ensure all the assets you load into the asset library have an SEO Title & Description.

Q: Our Hushly hub will be on a sub-domain, but will the content be readable, crawlable by search engines, and attributable from an SEO perspective?

A: Yes, it will be readable and crawlable in various ways.  All the Hub content will be SEO indexed by Google, Bing, and other search engine crawlers. Along with that, all self-nurturing landing pages have a canonical URL to prevent the same content from showing up under different URLs.

Currently, you'll notice in the image below that the HUB is pointing to a sandbox. We have a check box ticked to the "NOT" index.  The best practice is to keep this off until you have all your content loaded and you're ready to go live.  You would simply de-select the button.

You can also have the search engines crawlers and bots index your Hub content "streams".  For instance, a stream of case studies, datasheets, etc.  You would put in an SEO title & description of your stream, and it would index that for broader search patterns.  (Alternatively, you can turn off that indexing simply by toggling the slider to "Not index" a particular stream if you don't want it indexed.

As stated above the Self-Nurturing Landing Pages have canonical URLs created directly from the asset title once you load them up.  If you want to add another vanity URL or create a different one Hushly retains the canonical so there's no ding from Google for having the same content twice under separate URLs.  All canonical URLs will change to your new subdomain once we point to the hub subdomain. Thereby replacing the current canonical shown below with the sandbox.  So there's no need to do anything there either.

To be clear all keywords, and key phrases (basically all earned SEO) are the customers as Hushly is a sub-domain of the customer so all assets in the asset library that are SEO indexable (turned on) will be available for search engines to crawl.
