Vidyard Video Integration

Modified on Tue, 25 Jun at 5:34 AM

Vidyard is designed exclusively to serve companies using video on their websites for marketing, support, and sales. If you're already hosting your video content on Vidyard, you can easily make it part of your content in experiences and hubs by integrating Hushly with Vidyard.

There are two tasks that you should complete for successfully integrating Hushly and Vidyard:

  • Get your Vidyard API Token
  • Establishing a connection between Hushly and Vidyard.

Getting your Vidyard API Token:

API tokens are used to authenticate you to Vidyard. If you want to connect to Vidyard through a third-party service, the API token tells Vidyard that you are authorized to access data from your account without directly signing in to the platform.

To access video content on your Vidyard account you need the API Token to integrate your Vidyard account with Hushly. In Vidyard, API tokens are specific to a Sub-group and the Players it contains. Vidyard controls access to a Sub-group using Roles, and each role has its own API token.

  1. Login to Vidyard.
  2. Ensure that you change into the group that you want to access through the API
  3. Click on Admin Menu and Click API Tokens.
  4. Click on Show Token for the appropriate role and copy the API Token.

Establishing a connection between Hushly and Vidyard:

To connect Hushly with Vidyard:

  1. From the Left Nav Menu, click Setup > Integrations.
  2. On the Integrations page, click +New Integration to add Vidyard.
  3. From the Integration pop-window, select Vidyard and click Activate.
  4. On the Vidyard page, enter your API Token and click Connect to Vidyard.
  5. Note: API tokens are specific to a single Sub-group. With the provided API token, Players of this Sub-group can be associated with Hushly content. You could add multiple Sub-group API tokens to associate Players in other Sub-groups by clicking on Add Token

  6. A confirmation message will appear, indicating that Hushly is connected to Vidyard. A green Indicator is displayed under "Operational," confirms that the connection is active.

Disconnecting Vidyard Integration

  1. In the Integration page against the Vidyard integration click Edit.
  2. Click Disconnect. Hushly asks you to confirm the action.
  3. Click OK.

  4. A success message confirms that the Vidyard integration has been disconnected and it no longer appears on the Integration page.
