Adding an Asset Catalog Field

Modified on Sun, 22 Oct, 2023 at 6:02 AM

Asset Catalog Fields are used to categorize and filter Assets.

Catalog Fields can have multiple Labels. For example, the Catalog Field for Industry may have Telco, Healthcare, and Manufacturing as Labels.

An Asset can have several Catalog Fields. Catalogs Fields are available to group or filter:

  1. Assets through Asset > Setup.
  2. Automation through Hubs > Automation.
  3. Filters through Hubs > Filters.
  4. Recommendation Rules through Hubs > Recommendation Rules.

To add an Asset Catalog Field:

  1. From the Left Nav, click Setup > Field Management.

  2. By default, Lead Fields is displayed. Click the Lead Fields drop-down arrow to select Asset.
  3. Click New Catalog Field.
  4. In the Add Catalog pop-up window, the following fields are displayed.
  5. Enter the Name of the Catalog Field. The Code field is auto-generated when you type the name and captures the button-click event. The Code can be modified and is for internal purposes.

  6. Click the Field Type drop-down to select the field type Picklist or Multi-Select Picklist. Use this field to categorize Assets.
    • Picklist: Create a list to assign only one label (category) to an Asset. For example, if an Asset contains specific information about Technology, such as "Information Technology Industry Trends & Overview", you can create a picklist and assign a single value to the Asset.

    • Multi-Select Picklist: Create this list to assign multiple labels (categories) to an Asset. For example, if an Asset contains information about an Industry such as Insurance and Healthcare, for example: "Understand the Health Insurance policies" AND "Read more on types of Health insurance coverage", you can assign both categories to the Asset by defining a Multi-Select Picklist.

  7. Click Add Value to enter the Labels for the Picklist or Multi-Select Picklist. When you add a label, Hushly automatically assigns the Internal Value. Click Show Internal Values to view the Internal Value column.
  8. Click Save
  9. The Catalog Field is created and displayed on the Asset Fields page.
  10. Click on Localize to customize and translate form elements to multiple languages, making it easier for users of different regions to understand the Catalog Fields assigned to your Assets.
    1. Select a Language from the drop-down menu to configure Localization.

    2. Enter the translation for the labels in the provided fields according to the selected language.

Click Save after adding the translation for labels.

Note: To add more language labels, simply repeat the steps outlined above.

  11. The new Catalog Field is seen in the Asset > Setup > Catalog section.
