What are Custom fields?
Custom fields let you store specific data on Leads, Assets, and Experiences. It can be used for many different purposes... they are "custom" to you!
There are many ways in which custom fields can prove to be useful. You can create a custom field to track the URL parameters, Hidden Fields Value, etc. The exact use case depends on what you're trying to accomplish, but the flexibility of our custom fields empowers you to store all the relevant dat a in one place.
How to create a Custom Field
- From the Left Nav Menu, click Setup > Field Management (Only available for Hushly Administrators)
- Select Object (Lead, Asset, Experience, Stream, Account, or ABM Page) for which you want to create the Custom Field
- Click on New Custom Field.
- Configure the Custom Field Properties, see below:
- Click Save
Custom Field Properties
- Name— the label that appears to the left of the custom field when it is displayed
- Code — the code for this field.
- Hidden — check this to hide this custom field from the Hushly UI.
- Field Type — the type of the field
- Data Type (for textbox fields only) — the type of the field
- Default value — the default value that is to be set for the custom field when a Lead is created.
- Values (for picklist fields only) — the values from which a user can choose. See below.
Populate Field Value
Custom Field value can be populated from three different sources of URL Parameters, Hidden Fields on the Page, or from browser Cookies.
