To Upload a Document Asset, follow the steps below:

  • From the Left Nav Menu, click Assets.
  • On the Assets page > Upload Asset.
  • From the Create Asset pop-up window, select the Asset Type, Document.
  • In the Create Asset pop-up window, enter the Name of the Document Asset, and the Title auto-populates. You can edit the Title if you wish.
Important: When an Asset's name reflects its content, it makes content categorization and selection easy. The user sees the Title when engaging with the Asset.

  • Click on Choose under Folder to select a Folder for the Asset. To learn more about Folders, click here.

  • Choose the appropriate Asset type by selecting an option from the Type drop-down list. Hushly offers a wide range of over 12 content types to choose from. Select the type that best matches the added Asset, whether it is an Article, EBook, Brochure, or any other relevant format.

  • English is selected by default. You can select another language from the drop-down list.
  • By default, the Ungated button is set to No. If you want all the pages in the document to be visible to users, switch the toggle to Yes. This ensures unrestricted access to the content, making it fully viewable for users without additional barriers.
  • When the Ungated button is toggled to Yes, the Allow Anonymous Download option becomes visible. By default, this toggle is set to No, but you can switch it to Yes if you want to allow anonymous users to download the content.

Note: Search engines would crawl each page's content to compile a massive index of all the words it sees and their location on each page. In addition, they process information included in key content tags and attributes, such as <title> tags and alt attributes. To prevent Search engines from crawling these duplicate versions of the same page, we can configure a Canonical URL.

  • Thumbnail 1 (500x272 pixels) is auto-generated when you upload an Asset. However, you can also upload Thumbnail 2 (500x660 pixels), which can be set to view at the Stream level on the Hub. Click here to learn more about Thumbnails.
