Thumbnails are small preview images or videos that provide a condensed visual summary or representation of the content. They are used for previewing, navigation, optimizing page loading times, visual organization, and aiding content recognition.
Important: Thumbnail 1 allows for the option to display a description when hovering over it, while Thumbnail 2 presents a full image without showing any description. Thumbnails have unique dimensions that fit the desired layout or design.
To add Thumbnails for the Assets, follow the steps below:
- From the Left Nav Menu, click Assets.
- On the Assets page, open an existing Asset to add the Thumbnail images or Upload an Asset.
- Go to the Setup tab of the Asset.
- Scroll to the Thumbnails section:
Thumbnail 1 (500x272 pixels) is auto-generated when you upload an Asset. However, you can change the image by clicking on it and uploading a new one.
Thumbnail 2 (500x660 pixels): You can set it to view Thumbnail 2 at the Stream level on the Hub.
To set Thumbnail 2 for display:
- Go to Hubs > Select a Hub.
- Click on Streams from the Hub Menu on the left and open the Stream that has the Asset.
- Hover over the Asset and click on Edit.
- The Edit Item pop-up appears. Scroll to the Layout drop-down
- Select Thumbnail Only which will display Thumbnail 2.
