How to Customize a Smart MicroForm

Modified on Tue, 24 Sep at 5:58 AM

To Customize your Smart MicroForm follow the steps below:

  1. From the Left Nav Menu, click Hubs > Select a Hub.
  2. On the Hub Menu, select Smart MicroForms > Click Add Smart MicroForm.

  3. The Add Smart MicroForm pop-up is displayed. In the Asset field, select an Asset that is Gated with a traditional form. The Name field is prepopulated by default. You can edit the Name if you wish. Click Create.
Note: Only the Assets that are associated with a Stream of the Hub will be listed. The other assets within the stream are offered to the user as related assets that the user can also download as part of the MicroForm submission.
If you don’t have any Assets associated with a Stream, learn how to Add Assets to a Stream here.

  4. The default Smart MicroForm design page is displayed. The elements of the form are displayed on the left menu, the preview of the Smart MicroForm is shown in the center and the styling elements of the form are on the right side of the page (refer to the image below).
    • Click on the Add Elements icon to add more elements to the default form. The Elements menu is displayed with a list of Standard Fields. Note: Lead Custom Fields created in Setup > Field Management will also appear in the list of fields. To learn more on how to create a Lead Custom Field, click here.

    • Select a field(s) from the list and click Save. The added fields are displayed in the preview section of the form. Note: You can sort the fields in the order you wish by dragging the fields up or down on the left menu.

    • Select a Field, the Content tab displays Required, and Hidden functionality with toggles disabled by default. Toggle the Required and the Hidden functionality and click Save.
      • Required: When this option is enabled, the field is set to mandatory in real-time.
      • Hidden: When this option is enabled, the field is hidden in real-time. If you have a default value set for the field and don't want the end user to see it in the form, you can mark the field as Hidden.

Note: Email and Country fields are set to mandatory by default.

    • To change the label for a field, click on the right arrow icon next to the field and the sub-menu opens with Label and Input. Select Label, the Content tab displays the Label text box. Make changes to the Label text and click Save.
      • Select Input, the Content tab displays the Placeholder and Default value. Make changes (optional) and click Save.
  5. Click the three-dot menu to reveal the options, Edit and Settings. Click Edit.
    • The Update Smart MicroForm pop-up will appear. You can make changes to the Asset and Name fields (optional), and click Update to apply the modifications.
  6. From the three-dot menu options, click Settings.
    • The Settings - Smart MicroForm pop-up is displayed with Post Submission Action options, Disable Email Verification option, with Cancel and Update buttons.
      • When the Display Default Thank You Message option is selected, when the end-user submits the Smart Microform, the default message is displayed, as shown below.
      • When the Display Custom Thank You Message option is selected, the Thank You Message text box is displayed. You can customize the thank you message and click Update.
      • When the end user submits the Smart MicroForm, the customized Thank You Message is displayed.
      • When you select the Redirect to Thank You Page option, the Thank You Page URL text box appears, allowing you to configure the URL for the Thank You page. Click  Update.
      • When the end user submits the Smart MicroForm, the user is redirected to the Thank You Page.
Note: This is a sample Thank You Page.

    • The Disable Email Verification toggle is set to default in the Settings - Smart MicroForm pop-up.

      • When you enable the toggle for Disable Email Verification, the Do not send Email section appears, with the toggle button disabled by default. Click Update to apply the changes. Note: When the user submits the Smart MicroForm, their email is automatically verified, so they do not need to click the Download button in the email to confirm their email address.

      • By default, Hushly will send a backup email to the user's inbox, if the Do not send Email toggle is not enabled.
