What is a Page Variation?

A Page Variation is the cloning of an ABM Page or another Page Variation. You typically create a Page Variation if you want to make changes to the ABM Page Template and associate a Segment. On an ABM page, these segments would likely be used to organize content, case studies, testimonials, and other resources in a way that resonates with each target account group. The goal is to deliver a personalized and relevant experience to each segment, increasing the effectiveness of the ABM strategy and driving engagement with the target accounts.

For example, you may have an ABM Page designed for all audiences. Clone the page, thereby making a variation of it for accounts that belong to the Banking Cluster or Segment. You can, within the variation, change just the banner to reflect the banking industry or change the promotion you want to offer banking customers or offer banking case studies in the content sections, etc.

Creating a Page Variation:

To create a page variation, clone it from an existing variation:

  1. From the Left Nav Menu, click Hubs.
  2. On the Hubs page, Select a Hub.
  3. From the Hub Menu, select ABM Pages.

  4. On the ABM Page listing page, click on the ABM Page you want to edit.

  5. From the Variations tab, click on the three-dot menu and select Clone.

  6. On the Clone Variation pop-up window:
    • Select a Segment from the dropdown.
    • Enter a Variation Name and Description.
    • Select an Account Rep Type.
    • Enter a value in the Weight and Click Save.
Note: Weight: You can enter a numerical value in the weight field, since an account can belong to multiple Segments, the Segment with the highest weight is selected by Hushly while choosing the appropriate ABM Page Variations.

  7. The created Variation Page is auto-saved and is previewed in draft mode until the variation page is published.
Note: When a user is editing a variation page, it remains locked for the other users until the changes are saved or published.

How does Hushly know which account a web visitor belongs to?

Hushly does this in one of two ways.

  • IP 2 Account Match: Hushly, tries to match the user's IP address to an Account domain.
  • Acc URL Parameter: The "acc" URL parameter has the account name as its value.

Once Hushly can identify the web visitor account, it then finds if there is a page variation for the account. So for example, if the user visits an ABM page with the following URL - https://lp.yourcompany.com/abm?acc=citibank, Hushly will identify the account as Citibank and then find the segment Citibank belongs to say Banking, and then offer the user the page variation for the Banking Segment.
