Edit a Stream

Modified on Thu, 19 Dec at 3:29 AM

You can configure a Stream to add more details such as the SEO title, SEO description, URL path (by default, the URL path is created based on the Stream name), Setting (Home Stream, No Robots Meta Tag, Enable Navigation, Allow Bread Crumbs, and Show Description), Branding, Header, and Custom Fields.

To configure a Stream:

  1. From the Left Nav  Menu, click Hubs.

  2. From the Hubs page, click the Hub.

  3. From the Hub Menu, click Streams.

  4. From the Streams listing page, click the three-dot menu to view the list of options and select Configure.

  5. You can modify the Metadata, SEO, Settings, Banner and Header, and Customer Fields sections.

  6. The Metadata section opens with the Stream Name and Description filled with the details you entered.

  7. You can change the Stream Name, Stream Page Title, Description, default URL Path,  Select Language fields, Partner, and Folder.

URL Path: Editing the URL path modifies the path to access the Stream. When you hit the Update button, a Previous URL Path is created as an Auto Redirection rule. Consequently, user bookmarks and search engines pointing to the old URL may lead to a modified URL path.

Partner: You can select an email template from the Partner drop-down options. By selecting a Partner at the Stream Level, the email template configured at the Setup > Manage Partners will be displayed in the notification email.  When users submit the opt-in form with a business email for the Asset on the SNLP page, the email template configured at the Manage Partners will be sent to the user.

Note: The Email template configured at the Stream Level has priority over the Hub and Asset Level. If the Partner field is blank at the Stream Level, then the email template configured at the Hub level will have priority.

  8. The SEO section opens when you click on it. Enter the SEO Title, SEO Description, add the SEO Image and Canonical URL. The content of this field appears as the title in search engine results. This title is relevant when you are deploying Hubs.
Important: When the SEO Title is not given, the search results show the Stream name as the title.

  9. Click Settings to expand the section. You can toggle various Stream settings on or off by switching the button to Yes or No.
    • Home Stream: By default, the button is set to No. However, if you want to make this stream the home stream of the Hub, toggle the button to Yes.

Note: Only one stream can be designated as the Home Stream in the Hub. If the stream being configured is already the Home Stream, the button will automatically be set to Yes by default.

    • No Robots Meta Tag: To prevent search engines from listing the domain and its contents when you are defining the Stream. By default, the button is set to No. However, if you want the search engines to index the stream toggle the button to Yes.

    • Enable Navigation: This option would show the Hub navigation, Bread Crumbs, Filter, and Search. By default, the button is set to Yes. However, if you want to enable the option, toggle the button to No.

    • Allow Bread Crumb: This option would display the breadcrumb for the user to navigate back to the stream when he accesses the item in the Stream. By default, the button is set to Yes. However, if you want to disable it, toggle the button to No.

    • Show Description Tag: This option would display the description of the Title below the Self Nurturing Landing Pages. By default, the button is set to No. However, if you want to enable the option, toggle the button to Yes.

  10. Click Banner and Header to expand the section. You can define a Banner for the Stream, and set the Position, Title, and Description.

Banner: For the Stream, you could select a Banner, and its position, set the title, and provide a description. Click the image icon the file explorer opens, select an image as per the recommended size (1920px x 200px). Select its position from the Banner Position.  Enter the Title and Description for the Banner.

Header: Paste HTML code to define a header.

  11. Click Custom Fields to expand the section. If you have defined custom fields using Setup > Field Management, you can select the fields to associate with the Stream. You can select a value for the custom field.

  12. Click Update to save your changes.
