You can automate the addition of Assets to a Stream using the automation rules.
Important: When you create an automation rule, some Assets may already exist in the Assets section of Hushly. The automation rule is not applied retroactively to the existing Assets. Please apply the rule to the existing Assets by clicking on the Re-apply Rule button.
To automate the addition of Assets to a Stream:
- From the Hubs menu, click Automation.
- Click Add Rule.
- The Automation Rule Creation page displays multiple configurable fields that allow users to define triggers, conditions, and actions for an automation rule.
- Enter a Name for the automation rule.
- The Enable toggle is enabled by default. This allows the rule to be activated or deactivated.
- Select a triggering event for the automation rule. he dropdown menu displays available events, “Asset Create or Update”, which determines when the automation rule should be executed.
The Rule Matching section allows users to define the conditions that must be met for the automation rule to execute. Users can choose to match ANY rule, ALL rules, or an Advanced rule, depending on the desired logic.
A dropdown menu is provided to select the field or attribute (such as Name, Title, Type, Tag, Language, Category and Custom fields, etc.) that will be evaluated.
Note: Multiple rules can be added using the “Add rule” option, and individual rules can be removed using the delete icon.
Select an operator from the drop-down.

For example, the rule below selects Assets Type > Equals > EBook.
Note: Click Add Filter to add more rules. When you add more than one rule (optional), you can define which rules should be used to select an Asset.- In the Match Any Rules section.
- Match Any: The recommendation rule is launched when at least one criterion matches the rule.
- Match All: The recommendation rule is launched when all criteria match the rule.
- Match Advanced: The recommendation rule is launched when all the advanced criteria match the rule.

- In the Perform these actions section, click the Select arrow to view the list of Streams available. Select a Stream from the list.
Note: You can add more streams in this section by clicking on the Add new Action link. - After configuring all the required fields in the Automation Rule, click Save to apply the changes.
- The automation rule is saved successfully, a confirmation message is shown, and the rule is displayed on the listing page.
- Automation rules are not automatically applied to existing assets. To include them, click the rule name to open the Automation Rule Details page, and then click the Re-Apply Rule button.
- The Re-Apply Automation Rule confirmation dialog is displayed with Cancel and Yes, Re-apply Rule buttons. Clicking the Yes, Re-apply Rule button adds assets that now match the rule to the stream and removes assets that no longer match the rule from the stream.

- The automation rule is applied to all existing Assets, and the assets are displayed in the content section.

- All Assets added via the automation rule are displayed in the Stream with a Wand icon.

- Hover over the wand icon to see which automation rule added the Asset to the Stream
