Adding a Stream Custom Field

Stream Custom Fields carry additional information about a Stream. When published to your Marketing Automation Platform (MAP), the additional information can be used to categorize the leads based on the streams the users consumed. You can define the Custom Stream Fields and associate them with any stream.


To add a Custom Stream Field, you can follow the below steps:

  • From the Left Nav, click Setup > Field Management.
     
  • Click the drop-down list to select Stream.

    The standard and custom fields are displayed. Name and Description are the only standard fields. Custom fields are indicated by aicon.
  • Click New Custom Field.

  • In the Add Custom Field pop-up window, enter the name of the custom field.
     
  • Modify the code. When you type the name, the code is auto-generated. It captures the button-click event. This field serves internal purposes.
     
  • By default, the Hidden button is set to No. Optionally, set it to Yes, to hide the field.


  • Click the Field Type drop-down list. Select Picklist to provide a list of choices. Alternatively, select Textbox to provide text entry.


    1. Select Picklist to provide a list of choices.
      • Optionally, add a default value.
      • Click +Add Value to add values (labels).
      • The values will display in the order they were added but can be rearranged by dragging and dropping them into the desired sequence.Note: When the form field is used anywhere for Experiences, Stream items, or Hubs the picklist will be displayed in the order that you sort here.

      • The values can also be sorted by clicking on the Sort Alphabetically link.
      •  Click the Show Internal Values link. The Internal values labels are displayed alongside the configured values. You can make changes (optional). Click the Hide Column link to hide the Internal Value column. 
      • Click Save. The custom field is created.

    2. Alternatively, select Textbox to enter a value.
      • Click the Data Type drop-down list.
         
      • Select String for accepting text input or Number to accept numeric input into the field.
      • Enter the default value of the field.
         
  • Click Save. The custom field is created.
