BrightCove Integration

Brightcove is designed exclusively to serve companies using video on their websites for marketing, support, and sales. If you're already hosting your video content on Brightcove, you can easily make it part of your content in experiences and hubs by integrating Hushly with Brightcove.  

There are two tasks that you should complete to successfully integrate Hushly and Brightcove:

• Get your Brightcove Account ID, Client ID, and Client Secret code.
• Establish a connection between Hushly and Brightcove .

Getting your Brightcove Account ID, Client ID, and Client Secret:

The Account ID, Client ID, and Client Secret are used to authenticate you to Brightcove. To connect to Brightcove through a third-party service, the API token tells Brightcove that you are authorized to access data from your account without directly signing in to the platform.

To access video content from your Brightcove account, you need the Account and Client IDs along with the Client Secret code to integrate your Brightcove account with Hushly. 

1. Login to Brightcove.
2. Choose the group you want to access through the API.
3. Click Settings to access the Admin navigation.
   
   
4. Click on API Authentication > Add Application
   
5. Enter the Name and an optional description, and select the Hushly account for Authentication.
   
   
6. Scroll down to Exposed Brightcove APIs and under CMS options select Video Read.
   
   
7. Click on Save.
   
   
8. Copy the Client Secret, which is a one-time generated code, by clicking Okay, I copied it. Important: Please make sure to store the Client Secret code in a secure location, once you copy it as you won't have access to it again.
   
   

Establishing a connection between Hushly and Brightcove:

To connect Hushly with Brightcove:

1. From the Left Nav Menu, click Setup > Integrations. 
2. On the Integrations page, click +New Integration to add Brightcove. 
3. From the Integration pop-window, select Brightcove and click Activate. 
4. Enter the credentials and click Connect to Brightcove.
   
5. A confirmation message will appear, indicating that Hushly is connected to Brightcove. A green Indicator is displayed under "Operational," confirms that the connection is active.

Disconnecting Brightcove Integration

1. On the Integration page against the the Brightcove integration, click Edit  
2. Click Disconnect in the Integration pop-up.

   
   

   A confirmation pop-up is displayed with Ok and Cancel. Click Ok

   
   
3. A success message confirms that the Brightcove integration has been disconnected and it no longer appears on the Integration page.
