Creating video content pulled up from your Wistia account involves the following tasks:
- Integrating Hushly and Wistia.
- Creation of a Wistia Video Asset.
Creation of a Wistia Video Asset:
- From the Left Nav Menu, click Assets.
- On the Assets page, click Upload Asset.
- On the Create Asset pop-up window, select the Asset Type, Video.
- In the Create Asset pop-up window, enter the name of the video Asset, and the title auto-populates.
Important: When the name of an Asset reflects the content, it makes content categorization and selection easy. The user is shown the title when engaging with the Asset.
- Click on Choose under Folder to select a Folder for the Asset. To learn more about Folders, click here.
- Select the Asset type from the Type drop-down list. Hushly provides more than 7 video types such as a Video, Podcast, and Demo to classify the Asset.
- By default, English is selected, you can select another language from the drop-down list.
- By default, the Ungated button is set to No. However, if you want to make the whole video visible to the user, toggle the button to Yes.
- When the Ungated button is set to Yes, the Allow Anonymous Download button is displayed. By default the toggle is set to No, However, if you want to you can toggle it to Yes.
- When the Wistia option is set up then by default, the Wistia option is selected.
Note: The default video options are YouTube and Vimeo.
- Enter the Wistia Video name and select the video from the drop-down. This video is presented to the user before showing the Opt-in form.
- Enter the Fulfillment URL. When the user opts in, an email is sent to their email address. Click Save.
The email includes a download link. When the user clicks the download link, the user is redirected to the page indicated by the fulfillment URL.
Note: Click on the fetch icon to get the latest video uploads from your Wistia account.
- You are redirected to the Setup tab of the Asset. On the Setup tab, fill in the various parameters of the Asset.
Note: The mandatory information fields of the Setup tab, Name, Title, Type, the Wistia video, and the fulfillment URL are filled with the values you have already configured for the Asset. . However, you can make changes to all of them (optional).
Important: All the fields in the above window are grouped into sections, as per usage namely,- Metadata: Name, Title, Description, Type, Language, Tags, Fulfillment URL, and Wistia Video.
- Options: Ungated, Preview Start Time, Preview Time, Opt-in Message, Hidden, and Email Template.
- Thumbnails: Thumbnail 1 and Thumbnail 2.
- Catalog Fields: All Catalog Fields created in Setup > Field Management > Assets will be displayed here.
- SEO: SEO Title, SEO Description, and Canonical URL.
- Custom Fields: All Custom Fields created in Setup > Field Management > Assets will be displayed here.
- An Excerpt gets automatically generated from the content uploaded providing a glimpse or sample of the content. It is limited to 200 characters.
Note: Excerpt is effective only on the V3 hub.
- Enter a Description.Note: When the description is longer than 255 characters, it cannot be published to Marketo.
- Enter the Fulfillment URL. The fulfillment URL hosts the ungated Asset.
- If the Fulfillment URL is configured, the user is redirected to the URL.
- If the Fulfillment URL is not configured, the user views the entire Asset, and any related content, hosted on a Hushly domain, app.hushly.com/asset.
- Optionally, enter the Tags to associate the video with. When you enter a new tag for the Asset, it is made available for tagging all Assets. Use the tags to group related video Assets.
- In the Options section, If the Ungated button is set to No, enter the preview start time you want to showcase the video content preview. By default, the video will play from the start. However, if you prefer the video to start from a given time mention the value in seconds, say you configure the preview start time as 20 and preview time as 10, your video starts playing from the 20th second and plays for 10 seconds.
Important: You could enter the Preview time you wish the video to play, by default it's 30 seconds.
Note: When you want to make the entire video available through the preview, Set the Ungated button to Yes, the Preview Start Time and Preview Time will not be displayed as the entire video is shown to the user. - Optionally, enter an Opt-in Message. The user sees this message above the opt-in form used for providing the business email. Important: If you don’t configure an opt-in message, a default opt-in message appears.
- Optionally, click Tokens to use them in the opt-in message. Use the {{asset.name}}, {{asset.type}}, and {{asset.content.type}} tokens to refer to the Asset information dynamically.
Using Tokens helps to prevent typos in Asset names, saves time, and reflects changes in the Asset information. - By default, the Hidden button is set to No. However, if you want to hide this Asset in Hubs, toggle the button to Yes.
- You can attach a specific Email Template to the Asset. When a user submits the opt-in form with a business email for this Asset, the email template configured here will be sent to the user. Click on Preview to view the Email Template.
- In the SEO section, Enter the SEO Title. The content of this field appears as the title in search engine results. This title is relevant when you are deploying Hubs.
- Enter an SEO Description. The content of this field appears as the description in search engine results. This description is relevant when you are deploying Hubs.Important: When the SEO Title is not given, the search results show the Asset name as the Asset title.
- Enter a valid URL in the Canonical URL field.
Note: Search engines would crawl each page's content to compile a massive index of all the words it sees and their location on each page. In addition, they process information included in key content tags and attributes, such as <title> tags and alt attributes. To prevent Search engines from crawling these duplicate versions of the same page, we can configure a Canonical URL.
To build a comprehensive index of words and their locations on web pages, search engines employ a process called crawling. This entails examining the content of each page and storing the data. Additionally, search engines analyze relevant information found within key content tags and attributes, such as <title> tags and alt attributes. To avoid the indexing of duplicate versions of a page, configuring a Canonical URL is a useful approach. - The Thumbnail 1 (500x272 pixels) is autogenerated when you upload an Asset. However, you can upload another Thumbnail (optional).
- Upload Thumbnail image for Hubs. Click on Thumbnail 2 to select a file from the pop-up and upload.
- If you have defined Custom or Catalog fields using Setup > Field Management, you can select the fields to associate with the Asset.
- Click Save.
