Adding an Experience Custom Field

Modified on Mon, 2 Jun at 10:28 PM

Experience Custom Fields carry additional information about an Experience. The additional information, when published to your Marketing Automation Platform (MAP), can be used to categorize the leads based on the Experiences the user consumed. You can define the Custom Experience Fields and associate them with any experience using the Experience's Settings tab.

To add an Experience Custom Field, you can follow the steps below:

  1. From the Left Nav, under Setup, click Field Management.

  2. Click the drop-down arrow to view the list and select Experience.
The standard and custom fields are displayed. The " Name" field is the only standard Experience field. The icon denotes the custom fields.

  3. Click New Custom Field.

  4. In the Add Custom Field pop-up window, enter the Name of the custom field.

  5. The Code field is auto-generated from the name; modify the code if required. This field serves internal purposes to capture the button-click event.

  6. By default, the Hidden button is set to No. You set it to Yes to hide the field (optional).

  7. Click the Field Type drop-down list. Select Picklist to provide a list of choices. Alternatively, select Textbox to provide text entry.
