Create a Stream

A Stream is a browsable page of content that allows visitors to choose what they want to view in any order. This option is suitable when visitors should have the flexibility to explore content based on their interests.

Note: The Stream type is set when the Stream is created and cannot be changed later. Other Stream settings can be modified after creation.

To create a Stream, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Left Navigation Menu, click Hubs. On the Hubs listing page, select the Hub you want to manage. From the Hub Menu, under CONTENT, click Streams.

  2. On the Stream listing page, click + New Stream.

  3. In the New Stream page,  under Type, choose Stream.

  4. Enter the Name, Page Title and Page Description (optional). The Page Title and URL Path are automatically populated based on the Name, but you can edit them as needed before clicking Create stream.

The Page Title and Page Description are displayed in real time when viewing the Stream in the Hub. You can also display a Stream's Asset Description below the Asset's Title on an SNLP in real time by toggling Show Description in the Stream Configure tab under the Settings section.

  5. Under Folder, click Choose to select a different folder, or use the default folder.

From the Choose Folder window, select your desired folder and click Choose Selected. To create a new folder instead, type a name into the Enter Folder Name field and click Add. Learn more about how to use folders.

  6. Under Visibility, select one of the following options:

    • Public (selected by default) — Makes the Stream available for Hub navigation, visible in Hub search, and indexable by search engines.

    • Unlisted — Excludes the Stream from Hub navigation, Hub search, and search engine indexing. The Stream remains accessible through its direct URL.

  7. Click Create stream. The Stream is successfully created, and the Stream Details page is displayed with the Setup tab selected by default.
