Target Account Research: Based on the provided input, such as a Research Topic for an account, the AI gathers relevant information from public sources, the company’s website, or custom sources. This research can be conducted simultaneously for multiple accounts, enabling efficient and scalable account intelligence.
Configuring Target Account Research
- From the Left Nav Menu, click ABM > AI Settings
- The AI Settings page is displayed with the GTM Knowledge Base tab selected by default. Click the Target Account Research tab.
- The Target Account Research section is displayed with the Add Source button. Click Add Source.
- The New AI Research page is displayed with three sections: Metadata, Configuration, and Target Accounts Criteria.
- Click Metadata to expand the section. The section opens with Name, Description, and Schedule fields. Enter a Name and Description (optional), and select the Research Job Schedule to run Monthly, Weekly, or once to update the Research data for the Target Account.
Note: For the available Schedule options listed,
- If you select Weekly, you will be prompted to select the day of the week you want the Research Job to run.
- If you select Monthly, you will be prompted to select the date of the month you want the Research Job to run.
- Click Configuration to expand the section. The section opens with Research Topics, Search Scope, and Research Source fields.
- Research Topic: Research Topic typically refers to a specific subject or area of study that you want to explore or gather information on. It helps focus searches, studies, or investigations for an Account.
- Search Scope: You can retrieve information using these modes: General or News.
- General Search Scope – This typically refers to a broad search across various sources, including websites, blogs, knowledge bases, and other online content. It retrieves a wide range of information from general web searches.
News Search Scope - This filter specifically focuses on recent and relevant news articles, pulling information from news websites, press releases, and media sources. It is useful for staying updated on current events. If you select this option, you will be prompted to specify the number of days of data you want to retrieve from the sources, i.e., enter 20 for the last 20 days to be retrieved.
Research Source: A Research Source refers to the origin of information used for research. It can be any material or resource that provides relevant data, insights, or evidence on a topic. You select which Research Source you want the information to be retrieved from the drop-down options, such as Public Web Sources, the Company's Website, and Custom Sources.
- Public Web Source – Information gathered from publicly available websites, such as blogs, news sites, government portals, and general web content.
Company's Website - Refers to internal knowledge from your Targeted Account's official website. It includes product pages, help articles, FAQs, and other business-specific content.
Custom Sources – User-defined sources, such as manually uploaded documents (PDFs, Word files), proprietary databases, or specific external sources selected for research.
- Research Topic: Research Topic typically refers to a specific subject or area of study that you want to explore or gather information on. It helps focus searches, studies, or investigations for an Account.
- Click Target Account Criteria to expand the section. The section opens with a Rule Builder, allowing you to define criteria for targeting accounts for AI research. Accounts that match the rule will be displayed on the right side of the section. Configure the rule as needed and click Save.
- Once the configuration is done, click Save. A confirmation message is displayed along with four buttons: Run Research, View Reports, Pause, and Delete.
- Run Research - The Run Research button manually starts the research process based on the configured criteria and sources. When clicked, it triggers the AI to gather and analyze data from selected research sources, such as websites, public web sources, or custom sources.
- View Reports -View Reports displays the data gathered by AI for each company configured in the AI Research. It provides insights based on the research criteria, including sources used, findings, and analysis for each targeted company.
- Pause - The Pause button in AI Research temporarily stops an ongoing research job.
- The research process halts but is not canceled.
No new data is gathered until the research is resumed.
Previously collected data remains available in reports.
Delete -The Delete button on the AI Research page permanently removes configured research.
- Click the Run Research button.
- A confirmation pop-up is displayed with No and Yes buttons. Click Yes.
- A message is displayed that the request is being processed, which means a search job is running and the Data is being gathered and analyzed.
- A confirmation pop-up is displayed with No and Yes buttons. Click Yes.
- Click View Reports.
- The Reports pop-up appears, displaying the following columns: Account Name, Report, and Updated On, with a Cancel button.
- Click the Account Name link, which redirects the user to the Account Page.
- Click the report-generated link under the Report column. This opens the retrieved data for the Account in a new tab. The displayed information is based on the AI-generated sources selected during the AI Research configuration.
- The Reports pop-up appears, displaying the following columns: Account Name, Report, and Updated On, with a Cancel button.
- Click Pause.
- A confirmation message pop-up is displayed with No and Yes buttons. Click Yes.
- A status message is displayed, and the Pause button is changed to Resume. You can click Resume to restart the Research process anytime.
- A confirmation message pop-up is displayed with No and Yes buttons. Click Yes.
- Click Delete.
- A status message is displayed confirming the deletion.
- A status message is displayed confirming the deletion.
