Conversions record specific activities performed by web visitors. There are three types of Conversions:
- Page Visit: This conversion is triggered when a visitor lands on a specific URL or page.
- Click: This conversion fires when a visitor clicks on a specific element (e.g., button, link, or image).
- Event: This conversion type is triggered by a custom event implemented via code, allowing more granular tracking.
To add a conversion, follow the steps below:
- From the Left Nav Menu, click Web Personalization > Web Experiences.
- On the Web Experiences listing page, click the Web Experience name.
- On the Web Experience Details page, under the Conversions tab, click New Conversion.
- From the Add Conversion pop-up window, select either one of the following types.
- Page Visit: Enter the Name, Description - Optional, and the page URLs.
- Click: Enter the Name, Description, URL that has an element to be tracked, and CSS selector of the element to be tracked. To learn more about Click Conversions, visit this link.
Note: The CSS Selectors configured here for tracking purposes will be displayed in the Web Experiences > Metrics, and in Reports > Web Experiences.
- Event: Enter the Name and Description.
- Click Save to add the Conversion to the Web Experience.
- Page Visit: Enter the Name, Description - Optional, and the page URLs.
- The Conversion is saved and displayed on the Conversions Details Page.
