Adding Segments to a Web Experience

To Add Segments to a Web Experience follow the steps bellow:

1. On the Web Experience details page, click on Add Segment.
      
2. In the Add Segment to Web Experience pop-up window,
   • Select a segment from the drop-down list.   
   • Optionally, you can choose an existing variation you wish to copy. 
   • Click Add.   
3. The newly added Segment is displayed above the existing Segment(s) and the Variation will be in draft status. 
   Note: The  published Variations will trigger in order from top to bottom. 
   
   
4. On the Web Experience details page, click Change Priority.
   Prioritizing a Segment:
   
   When there are multiple segments for a web experience and if a visitor matches two or more segments, which Variation you would like the visitor to see first?
   
   For Example:
   
   If Segment A rules is Country exist and Segment B rule is Country equals to USA
   
   If a visitor is from the United States visits your web page, he/she will see the Segment A variation first since its above Segment B in priority. In reality he fulfills both Segment rules, which Segment Variation would you prefer the visitor to see?
   
   In this case, you can prioritize the Segment Variation you would like the visitor to see when he visits your web page. The prioritized Segment variation will be displayed to the visitor.
   
   You can prioritize the Segments by clicking Change Priority and in the pop-up you can drag and drop the Segment to re-order the segments and click on Save. 
   
   
   Note: In runtime, since Country-USA Segment was prioritized, the visitor would see the Country-USA Segment Variation first.
