Segments are used to configure Experiences and Streams. Therefore, when an Experience or Stream is using a Segment, you cannot delete the Segment. To delete a Segment in use, disassociate the Segment by reconfiguring the Experience or Stream.
To delete a Segment, follow the steps below:
- From the Left Nav Menu, click Segments.
- On the Segments page, click the three-dot menu in the action column for the segment you wish to delete, then select Delete.
A segment can also be deleted in the Segment details page. - If the Segment is not in use, you are asked to confirm the deletion. Click OK to delete the Segment.
Note: If the segment is currently in use, a message will appear stating: The segment could not be deleted because it is associated with an Experience. - A confirmation message is displayed upon deletion. The deleted segment will no longer appear in the Segments listing page.
