Editing a Segment
You can edit a Segment to add or delete rules and filters, or change the name and description of the Segment.
To edit a Segment, follow the steps below:
- From the Left Nav Menu, click Segments.
- On the Segments page, click the Segment name or open the three-dot menu under the Action column next to the Segment you want to update, and select Edit.
- In the Edit Segment window, you can modify the Name, Description, Segment Rules, and Filters, and click Update.
- A success message is displayed indicating that the Segment has been updated.
Deleting a Segment
Segments are used to configure Experiences, Streams, and ABM Pages.. Therefore, when an Experience, Stream, or ABM Page is using a Segment, you cannot delete the Segment. To delete a Segment in use, disassociate the Segment from the Experience, Stream, and ABM Page.
To delete a Segment, follow the steps below:
- From the Left Nav Menu, click Segments.
- On the Segments page, click the Segment name or open the three-dot menu under the Action column next to the Segment you want to remove, and select Delete.
A segment can also be deleted in the Segment details page.- If the segment is currently in use, a message will appear stating: The segment could not be deleted because it is associated with an Experience.
- If the Segment is not in use, a confirmation message is displayed. Click OK.
- If the segment is currently in use, a message will appear stating: The segment could not be deleted because it is associated with an Experience.
- A confirmation message is displayed, and the Segment is removed from the listing page.
