Understanding Credit Usage During Personalization

Modified on Thu, 4 Dec at 4:39 AM

This section explains how credits are calculated and deducted when you personalize elements using Target Accounts and AI Instructions. Credits are consumed based on the number of Target Accounts added, the number of elements personalized, and the level at which personalization is applied (element, row, or column). Understanding this credit usage helps you plan your personalization efficiently and avoid unexpected credit deductions.

Target Account Level
When a Target Account is added, 10 credits will be deducted from your total for personalizing the first 5 elements. For each additional element beyond the 5th, 1 credit will be charged per element.

Example:

  • If you choose 5 Elements, add 2 Target Accounts, and click on the Add & Personalize button, you will be charged 20 credits (10 credits per Target Account for personalizing up to the first 5 Elements).

  • You chose 7 Elements and added 2 Target Accounts. You will be charged 24 credits
10 credits per Target Account (includes up to 5 personalized elements)

+1 credit for each additional element personalized beyond the first 5

    Base credits: 10 × 2 = 20 credits
    Extra elements: 2 × 2 = credits
Total credits deducted = 24 credits

Individual Element Level

For further personalization of an individual element, you would be charged 1 credit when the user clicks the personalization icon. There is no charge for manual edits.

Column Level
If the user clicks the personalization icon at the column level, you would be charged 1 credit for each element in the column. If there are two rows, then you will be charged 2 credits.

Row Level
If the user clicks the personalization icon at the row level, you would be charged 1 credit for each element in the row. If there are seven elements in the row, then you will be charged 7 credits.

AI Instructions

If you choose to personalize elements further using AI Instructions, you will be charged 5 credits per Target Account and 1 credit for each personalized element.

Example:

  • If you have 2 Target Accounts and 5 Elements for each account, you will be charged:

10 credits for the Target Accounts (2 Accounts x 5 credits)
10 credits for the Elements (10 Elements x 1 credit)

    Total = 20 credits
