Edit or Translate a Document Custom Asset Type

Edit an Asset Type

To edit a Document's custom asset type field, follow the steps below:

1. From the Left Nav Menu, click Setup > Asset Types.
    
2. The standard and custom asset types are displayed. The custom fields are denoted byicon. 
    
3.  Click the Custom Asset Type field. On the Custom Asset Types page, modify the name in the Translate Label Fields.
   
   
4. Click Save, and the changes are displayed with a confirmation message.
   

Translate an Asset Type

To translate a document custom lead field:

1. From the Left Nav Menu, click Setup > Asset Type.
    
2. The standard and custom asset types are displayed. The custom fields are denoted by icon. 
    
3. Click the Asset Type Field. On the asset type details page, enter the translated value for the asset type in the respective language text box, and the text is translated.
    
4. Click Save. The Translation is saved.
   
   Note: When the user configures both the Language and Asset Type for an asset, the Translated label is displayed in real time. If no specific translation label is configured, the default translation will be shown.
